On Dec. 13-14, Laramie Hockey will play twice against Gillette. This will be their first game since Thanksgiving break.

Seth Sorensen is a goalie for Laramie, as well as a participating player on the travel team, Wyoming Cutthroats.

“Gillette’s a really good team. I don’t know how well we’re going to do,” Sorenson said.

Laramie is ranked 5th in the 18U division, while Gillette is ranked 1st.

“We didn’t do well against Jackson last time, but it was their varsity team, so it wasn’t surprising,” Sorenson said.

Laramie lost against Jackson in its last two games, both scoring 7-1.

“We did beat Jackson’s JV team, though,” Sorenson said.

The week before Laramie played Jackson, they played Jackson JV, where they won one game 6-4 and tied them another game.

“I had 18 saves that game but they scored 4 times on me,” Sorenson said.

The week before that Laramie lost against the Cheyenne team in two games, with scores of 5-3 and 8-1.

Seth Sorenson is one of the two goalies who play for Laramie.

“We have two goalies, Brennan Upchurch and I,” Sorenson said.

Both Jackson and Laramie players were penalized roughing, tripping, or unsportsmanlike conduct in each game, which us common for hockey games.

The Laramie Girls team is playing against Mile City this weekend. They haven’t played since Nov. 23. The Laramie girls are currently ranked 4th in the girls 19U division.
