A track meet is an all-day sporting competition between two or more teams involving different running races, as well as jumping and throwing.

The team had to be at the University of Wyoming at 8 a.m. They warmed up and then the races started with field events at 9 am and running events an hour later.

Each member competed in one or more different events. In total, 24 students placed top three, counting relay teams and the sprint medley relay (SMR).

“Everybody kinda does a different event, and everybody does it individually but you add up points for your team,” Laramie High School senior, Caroline Lockard said. “I placed sixth in hurdles and fifth in triple jump, which is really good.”
